GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD!

Give thanks to the Lord above for being alive, for not being alone, for your daily struggle, which keeps you in touch with your strengths and gives you a a path to follow, for the health of your body and mind, for the calm in your life, for the peace within your family, for the tasks you face each day in order to keep a good relationship with the society's demands, for your joy and energy, for your optimism, for your bravery, for your intelligence, for your kindness and for all the qualities which other people around you can benefit from, for your prayers that have been fulfilled... Give thanks for ANYTHING, and give thanks ALL THE TIME, AT ANY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE, remember God always and keep Him in your heart as your only Holy Support, think of Him as your mostly loving Father who watches over you and will always be there to listen to your troubles and help you in need; don't forget that He is THE ONLY ONE who can really HELP you in ANY situation and He has the answer to all troublesome questions! God is your FRIEND, your Father, your Guide, the shoulder you can cry on, the tree under which you can stay when looking for shade and coolness, running from the hot air of every day's misfortunes, the clear and fresh water you cand drink from and gain wisdom to understand the reason of life as it is, God is the unconditioned love which will embrace you and give you hope and joy and which you will find hard to live without. God knows what people need before they even ask for it! And if you think you don't have waht you most need all you have to do is ASK for it! PRAY, but don't pray for common, earthly things which don't have a purpose for fulfilment; small things don't matter in life and are really bound to be evanescent if not meant to have some sort of relation to your development as a human being, as far as your role in this world. Pray for indispensable and lasting things!Let's take a simple example: praying to win the big prize in the lottery, or praying for the most expensive LCD Tv set or the most luxurious car - what is the purpose of having these? Except for the first option with the lottery, thinking that with the money won you can also help people in need, the TV set or the car are not really things you can live without; things like these will someday, somehow "disappear", accidents happen all the time and it's not worth praying for things which you may own for a short period (life itself is too short sometimes and too feeble!) after which you will never need them again. If you do pray for them, God may help you have them, but to me it's just the wrong way to head your energy towards... Anyway, PRAISE the Lord today and always! And keep the faith!
